Our Story

Growing up Mattie always dreamed of opening her own boutique. After many years as an accountant in New York City she moved to Pennsylvania in 1990 where her dream came to fruition. Elegant Bridal started as Elegant Boutique in the Pocono Outlet on Ann Street in Stroudsburg, PA. Elegant Boutique carried the top designers in sportswear and career suits. After many requests to carry bridal, Elegant Boutique became Elegant Bridal & Boutique.

After 6 years on Ann Street, Elegant Bridal moved to Rte 611 in the Tannersville area.  The business has grown since the small boutique on Ann Street, serving brides from all over the world such as England, Germany, Africa and Ireland to name a few.  This is all through word of mouth and repeat customers.

Elegant Bridal & Boutique is a family owned business operated by Mattie and her two daughters Lydia Schultz and Tamara Williams-Hood as well as her husband Alvin Williams. They pride themselves on customer service and a family environment!
